We are pleased to announce that we have a few extra spaces available for “Ply-Splitting: Braids, Baskets and Beyond.” May 2-4, 2015. This 2 ½ day workshop will be taught by nationally known fiber artist, Barbara Walker. Ply-split braiding is a technique found in northwest India, traditionally used for making girths, sturdy straps, bags and other accessories for camels. This technique captivates weavers, braiders, basket makers and other fiber enthusiasts alike. In this workshop you will learn the basics, with an eye toward creating one-of-a-kind necklaces. $120 + $60 materials fee.
