Skill Requirements:  All skills welcome!

Create a weaving that captures memories and emotions with elements that seems to reach out of the loom!  We'll use plain weave, soumak, crochet, a variety of yarns (everything is game!) and found objects to create our masterpieces.  

Materials Provided by Instructor: 

• frame loom, shuttles, pickup sticks
• yarns, cords, string
• found and recycled objects, beads, wire

Participant materials/equipment to bring:

• scissors, crochet hooks, embroidery needle
• remnants, thrums, treasures (optional)

Instructor Bio: 

Weaving allows me to incorporate objects, textures and shapes, as well as colors and coarsenesses into the canvas. By combining this with needle felting, I have been able to push the dimensional limits of wall art and to create weaving-felting fusions that are 3D tapestries.
